Life on the dairy farm…

Ivor Stafford.png

Since 2006 Ivor has been creating delicious artisan ice cream and refreshing sorbets at his family dairy farm near Bristol.

The farm has been the home to three generations of the Stafford family dating back to 1931 and recently Ivor has decided to put away his milking stool and wellington boots in favour of flavour profiles and quality dairy ice cream.

He doesn’t opt for any additional sleep though, as he is always making sure that he has the best ingredients possible going into every batch of Ivor’s Ice Cream

Ivor’s Ice Cream is born…

Ivor’s Ice Cream was born in August 2006, one year after reading an article in the Farmer’s Weekly about artisan ice cream making. The article was written by RSS of Hereford, a company that helps dairy farmers to diversify.

One month later and Ivor visited the RSS Stand at a dairy farming event, once he has tasted their product he was completely hooked.

So with help from Mr John James, who started RSS Hereford about the equipment he needed to buy and the methods of ice cream making Ivor was ready to start his new career in the world of artisan ice cream.

After spending time perfecting the flavour combinations and testing out his new recipes and ideas, Ivor now supplies pubs and restaurants and he attends many summer festivals, fairs and country shows. Last year these events included BBC Countryfile Live, Hampton Court Palace,
The Game Fair and the Great Yorkshire Show.
